Attraction and Crushes PSHE Lesson - 1 hour - 90 min, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for upper KS2 or lower KS3 all about different types of attraction and what it means to have a crush. The lesson is LGBTQ+ friendly and includes a comprehensive introduction to new terminology students may not have heard of before . The lesson emphasises the fact that people can experience attraction to different genders, have different sexualities and that some people just may not feel anything but platonic attraction. Students will examine what it feels like to have a ‘crush’ and how people may behave differently when experiencing one. All content has been written to cover the new 2020 PSHE Association Guidelines.

Manners and politeness LKS2 PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for lower KS2 (Year 3 if you are following the PSHE Association’s thematic model). In this lesson, the students will explore what it means to be polite and have good manners. We will discuss different types of polite phrases (please, thank you, excuse me etc) and the scenarios where we would be expected to use them. We will look at non-verbal examples of good manners such as offering your seat on a bus or holding open a door for a stranger. We will discuss the reasons why manners and politeness are important and analyse a set of case studies. The lesson includes a match-up task, an information sheet, a video clip task, a set of case studies and a class debate plenary task.

Being a Safe Pedestrian - Road Safety EYFS PSHE lesson.
A detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for EYFS/Reception age children. This lesson has been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups.
In this lesson, the children will learn about road safety, with a particular focus on the road safety mantra ‘Stop, Look, Listen, Think’.
The lesson includes a sing-along starter (to ensure a swift start to the lesson), a video link to Danny Katz’, That’s the Sound the Street Makes, an adult-led focus task, independent activities to be carried out during continuous provision, and a plenary task.

This detailed 21 page PSHE / RSE workbook has been created for the new PSHE / RSE and Health 2020 Statutory Guidance (specifically unhealthy relationships) and focuses on what to look out for in controlling and bullying / coercive relationships. It contains all of the information needed to learn about the topic in the first few pages, then the rest of the booklet is full of activities to complete.
The booklet is differentiated and great for recording progress in PSHE. It’s easy to print and editable (as it comes in a portrait-version ready to print PowerPoint as well as a PDF version) - so you can always amend it for your students. This could be left as cover (as appropriate to the class and cover teacher) as there’s nothing explicit on the relationships side of things and all of the terminology is carefully explained. No internet access needed.

Sharing and taking turns KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for use in Year 2.

New 2024 PSHE lesson all about ableism as well as visible and invisible disabilities and how people can be treated differently in work, school and public environments - sometimes breaking the Equality Act 2010.
Students will examine exactly what we mean by ableism, by exploring examples and case studies, with a focus on prejudice and discrimination. They will also establish the difference between purposeful ableism (e.g to save money in a workplace) and ableism from naivety. The lesson includes case studies, clip tasks, creative tasks, analysis and literacy tasks and much more. Created for KS3 but could be used as a reminder for KS4.

A new lesson all about compulsive, fixed and unwanted behaviours, which is a new topic set under the new draft statutory guidelines for PSHE 2024. In this lesson students will explore what we mean by compulsive behaviours, the difference between a habit and a compulsion, what we mean by OCD and Impulse Control Disorders, how these can’t be diagnosed over TikTok and where to go for medical help and advice. They will also investigate how to recognise the symptoms of various compulsive disorders, how some compulsions can even lead to criminal behaviour (as stipulated by the guidance) and much more. Best suited to KS4.
Students will complete case study and analysis tasks, literacy tasks, creative tasks, clip tasks and much more. Includes lesson plan.

**How to determine whether other children, adults or sources of information are trustworthy: judge when a family, friend, intimate or other relationship is unsafe (and to recognise this in others’ relationships); and, how to seek help or advice, including reporting concerns about others, if needed. The lesson is best suited to KS3. **
Students will investigate what we mean by trust, how to recognise when we can trust someone and will investigate what they would do in different situations by exploring real-life case studies.
